Ingredients

  • 150g blackberries
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 3 tbsps Demerara sugar
  • 400g cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • For the crumble:

  • 2 tbsps demerara sugar
  • 50g jumbo oats
  • 100g plain flour
  • 50g low-fat spread
  • Method

    Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6. Peel, core and slice 400g cooking apples and divide between 6 ovenproof ramekins. Add 150g blackberries and mix.

    Sprinkle over 1 tsp mixed spice and 3 tbsps of demerara sugar. Mix 2 tbsps demerara sugar with 100g plain flour and 50g jumbo oats. Rub in 50g low-fat spread.

    Pile the crumble on top of the fruit. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve hot or cold
